About the Instructor. The instructor for N413 is Robert Skipworth ("Skip") Comer, M.S.
Skip is a Research Associate with the IUPUI School of Informatics and Computing, and is involved with many collaborative projects with researchers from the Schools of Nursing and Medicine, building web applications with the AMP platform. These include projects to streamline health care processes, patient education, and decision support tools.
While he has over 20 years' experience developing digital media projects, he comes from an art and design background, with careers in photo education and advertising photography. This affords a pragmatic approach to programming techniques, with a clear style of scripting designed for students to follow and understand. He enjoys approaching web application development from both the design and technical sides. "It's a right-brain, left-brain thing," he says. "Like working a puzzle." He hopes to share his enjoyment of full-stack development with you.
