MS in Applied Data Science

Hi, I’m Raghuveer Venkatesh. I’m an AI-focused data engineer with experience building scalable data pipelines, automating workflows, and enabling machine learning systems. I’m currently working as an AI Engineer at The Polis Center, where I apply Hugging Face transformers and other LLM tools to enhance natural language processing and text analysis. Alongside this, I serve as an AI Data Engineer Intern with the Horizon League, where I built an end-to-end Deal Analytics application—integrating pipelines, dashboards, and automated insights—and developed semantic sentence segmentation using large language models.

Previously, I was a Research Assistant at the IU Sports Innovation Institute, where I automated review scraping for sports analytics research and contributed to applied projects in data science and digital innovation. Before that, at Eurofins IT, I designed cloud-based ETL pipelines across 38 Azure tenants, automated unstructured data migration, and led international teams in data engineering projects that improved efficiency, scalability, and compliance.

I’m pursuing my Master’s in Applied Data Science at Indiana University with a 3.97 GPA, and I bring a strong foundation in Python, SQL, PySpark, and Azure Cloud, complemented by hands-on experience in MLOps and AI model integration. My passion lies in bridging data engineering and AI—ensuring clean, reliable data pipelines that power intelligent systems and deliver actionable insights.
