Shyama Prasad Dash

Shyama is a UX designer and researcher committed to creating inclusive technology. With a background in engineering and consulting, his goal is to bridge the gap between innovation and usability, ensuring technology serves people who need it the most. He is currently pursuing his Master’s in HCI at Indiana University Indianapolis.

Before joining The Comet Lab at IU Indianapolis, Shyama worked as a Consultant at Deloitte, driving data allocation system design for global finance transformation projects. At IU Indianapolis, Shyama explores emerging technology, interaction design, and AI solutions to empower users. With expertise in design, project management, and data analytics, he brings vision and execution to every project.

In the past, Shyama has served as Head of Design at PIXELs (The Art & Photography Club), Creative Head at Quizzine (The Quizzing Club), and Lead Designer at Vassaunt (The Annual Festival) at his undergraduate alma mater. At IU Indianapolis, he is an Officer for IU Regatta and Visual Content Producer for IU Global. His work has contributed to shaping experiences, community initiatives, and campaigns. Whether through UX research, AI-driven tools, or storytelling, Shyama aims to build a future where no one is left behind.
