Work Management : Data Science Team

Prepared by: Hasaranga Jayathilake, Supraja Pericherla & Soumya Shanigarapu

This page serves as a guide to the essential housekeeping tasks required within the Data Science team. An overview of the administrative duties expected of Data Analysts and UX Researchers is provided to ensure smooth project progress. Assignments to various projects are made based on available working hours within the COMET Lab. Each project is managed by a Project Manager; if a Project Manager is unavailable, oversight is directly provided by the Head of Data Science. Awareness and adherence to these tasks are essential for collaborative success and for maintaining the overall productivity of the Data Science team.

  • Most projects are designed to require 5 hours of work per member each week.
  • Members with 10 hours of available working time are typically assigned to 2 projects.
  • Project assignments are based on each member’s preferences at the start of the semester.
  • If a member joins mid-semester, project assignments will be based on current needs and available spots.
